Arlee & Me exists to ensure that no mother has to navigate the challenges of caring for a newborn alone.
Our mission is to support new mothers during the often joyful, overwhelming, and life-changing postpartum period by connecting them with compassionate community resources, practical assistance, and trusted support. Through free babysitting and newborn caregiving assistance, opportunities for rest and connection, we aim to reduce isolation, ease the pressures of early motherhood, and support the emotional well-being of mothers and their families.
At Arlee and Me, we believe caring for a newborn also means caring for the mother. By bringing families, volunteers, and communities together, we hope to create a place where mothers feel supported, understood, and never alone.

Postpartum depression (PDD) is more than temporary "baby blues". It can involve persistent sadness, anxiety, hopelessness, irritability, difficulty sleeping even when the baby sleeps, feeling overwhelmed, loss of interest or pleasure, difficulty bonding with the baby, and doubts about one's ability to care for the baby.
If you have questions about the opportunities available in our programs, feel free to send us a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Arlee Simmons is a senior at Cohasset High School who is deeply involved in her school and local community. She participates in Green Team and Student Council and has dedicated time to community service through the Paul Pratt Memorial Library, Cohasset Youth Ambassadors, and other local programs.
Arlee also has extensive experience working with children and families. She has more than five years of babysitting experience caring for children of different ages and needs. In addition, through her work with the Cohasset Swim Center, Arlee has helped teach and encourage young children as they develop confidence and new skills in the water.
Her experience in childcare, youth programs, volunteer service, and community involvement has given Arlee an appreciation for the challenges families can face—particularly during the demanding early stages of parenthood. She brings patience, compassion, responsibility, and a genuine interest in helping others to her involvement with our organization.
As part of our postpartum support mission, Arlee hopes to help create a community where new mothers know they do not have to navigate the challenges of caring for a newborn alone. By connecting families with practical support, trusted caregivers, and community resources, we hope to give new mothers something that can be difficult to find during those first months: time to rest, recover, and care for themselves while knowing their baby is in caring hands.
